Easy Everyday Recipe: Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich

Ingredients
400 calories2 servingsAmerican- 2 entrecote steaks (approx. 180 g per piece)
- 100 g soft butter
- 1 clove garlic, pressed
- 2 baguettes
- 2 onions
- 2 red peppers
- 2 tbsp. mustard powder
- 12 slices of cheese
- 4 tbsp. mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp. paprika
- 1 tsp. mustard powder
Preparation
Time: 30 minutes
Start by placing the steaks in the freezer for about 10-15 minutes to make them easier to cut.
Next, blend the butter and crushed garlic until you have a creamy consistency.
Cut the baguettes in half, spread with a generous layer of garlic butter and set aside.
Cut the onion into thin rings and fry them in a pan with olive oil over a medium heat.
Thinly slice the peppers and fry them with the onions.
Add coarsely chopped parsley, 1 tbsp paprika, 1 tbsp mustard powder, 1 tsp sugar and a little salt and pepper. Cook for about 10-15 minutes until all the liquid has evaporated from the vegetables. Turn off the heat and set the pan aside.
Remove the meat from the freezer and cut it into thin slices. Season the meat with 1 tbsp. paprika, 1 tbsp. mustard powder, salt and pepper.
Heat a LARGE frying pan and fry the bread on the buttered side for about 5 minutes.
Keep the large pan on the heat and sear the meat for about 5 minutes. Then add the vegetables you sautéed earlier.
Divide into 4 equally sized portions in the pan. Turn down the heat and spread the cheese over the portions in the pan.
Spread mayonnaise on the top of the bread. Arrange the meat, vegetables and cheese on the other half. Close the sandwich and enjoy!
